About Me

My photo
Jacksonville, NC
Hi folks. I'm Lindsay the narrator for this blog and the man I talk about so much in it is my husband Micah! We have been married for a year and 1/2 now and have already made some great memories. Micah is a marine at Camp Lejeune, NC and is re-enlisting...has it been 5 years already since he swore in? I am graduating from UNCW in the fall of 2010 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I am working towards teaching military children and then moving on up to a master's degree :) We have experienced how God has worked through us as a couple already and we're excited to see what else he has in store for the future!

I look ridiculous in this cavlar!
Like brother, like sister, ha!
Micah and I celebrated our first Thanksgiving in Jacksonville with my family! We all had a great time being together and getting to show my family the "Fall" of North Carolina. As you can see above, everyone loves trying Micah's gear on! We even ate some of his MRE's he takes to the field before Thanksgiving dinner....not too bad at all!

Britten's visit to NC

Funny pose!

On our way to the Beirut Memorial Service

Britt felt VERY SAFE in Micah's body armor!
Britt finally came to NC! She brought along her mom and dad. They came up for the Beirut Memorial that was honoring the 25th anniversary. Britt's dad's brother was in Beirut during the bombing. They got to see all of Camp Lejeune and it was nice to get to catch up with the Lariviere's!

Visit to West Virgina

Cooking with Dad!

Lou...my Grandma's cat thought he was the head of the table!

This past weekend I drove up to Clarksburg, West Virginia...(an 8 hour drive! ahh!) to surprise my Grandma for her birthday. Micah wasn't able to get off work but he was busy getting ready for the opening day of bow season. My parents were up there so I got to spend a lot of time with them and my Aunt Beth. We also met up with my Uncle Brad and my cousin Micah. It was great getting to see all the family!
