Fixing up the house

When Micah and I moved into our house the front lawn was pretty haggard. We spent all day Saturday fixing up the lawn and making it look a lot nicer! We have the before and after shots right above of the house. We were excited to start and finish our first little project together.

Day at the beach!

Last Saturday Micah and I went to the beach. We love the beach!...well maybe I love it a little more than him! The Florida beaches are a lot different and I miss them but it's still nice to have a beach only 20 minutes away from home here in North Carolina. There are two different beaches in Jacksonville we've been to, Emerald Isle and Topsail. Topsail is closer to Camp Lejeune but we prefer Emerald Isle. Everything about the beaches here remind me of Myrtle Beach in South Carolina where my Grandma lived. I grew up on those beaches so although we're away from our Florida home it brings back great memories of my childhood making it feel a little bit like a home away from home.

Moving into our new house!

Our first little home! In the city of Jacksonville, NC. With the help of my mom and dad and our friends Tyler and Lauren all our things got moved into the house very quickly! Having the house look like our own...it's not quite there yet! But everyday we're making it our own. Soon I'll have pictures of the end result!

Our Wedding

We got married on July 19th 2008! The preparation for the wedding was a blast and pretty easy with the help of my sister-in-law Ashley. We got engaged on December 24th 2007 and what a surprise that was! Our wedding was at First Christian Church in Ft. Myers, FL. Where Micah's dad is a preacher. It was a beautiful ceremony. The reception was at Colonial Country Club. We had a blast and are excited to finally be married!
