About Me

Jacksonville, NC
Hi folks. I'm Lindsay the narrator for this blog and the man I talk about so much in it is my husband Micah! We have been married for a year and 1/2 now and have already made some great memories. Micah is a marine at Camp Lejeune, NC and is re-enlisting...has it been 5 years already since he swore in? I am graduating from UNCW in the fall of 2010 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I am working towards teaching military children and then moving on up to a master's degree :) We have experienced how God has worked through us as a couple already and we're excited to see what else he has in store for the future!

Deploying...

Micah leaving on a humorous note...a little butt grab won't hurt!

Not letting him leave for deployment....I WISH!

These goodbyes are the hardest!

Our first deployment married! Although Micah is gone for 7 months we have continually grown as a couple. His emails and a phone call every now and then makes my days a lot easier. I've been taking care of our home in Jacksonville and going to school. I was working so that makes the time go by quickly. Micah has already been to Spain, and Greece on the MEU. He was quoted on the cover of The Globe while in Greece...the Marine Corps newspaper. Here is the link :

Please keep Micah and the rest of the Marines in your prayers. They will be returning home mid-December.

What an incredible visit home to Florida mid-April! Although Micah and I ventured a 14 hour drive in a pick-up truck in the middle of the night to make it home our time with family was wonderful. We spent a lot of time together at the Pink Shell where we stayed on the night of our honeymoon. Micah deployed on May 14th...so this trip was to spend some quality time together and family. I think Micah had a great trip and got to do a lot of the things he loves with his friends and family.
